« on: April 01, 2012, 12:53:05 PM »
I've got a friend outside Portland, OR with a Yuma for sale. His name is Jack Hipp.

"Due to health and other things I am wanting to sell my 1974 Yuma. Sides and ends are all in good condition, no cracks, as well as the top. Cranks up and down easily, no problems there. Unsure about appliances for sure, but don't expect problems. Clean Oregon title and currently registered. Have all keys. Kept under cover last 2 years. $750. Five Zero Three-632-8219 or email privately."

This camper sounds like a great deal if it has the slide-out Kitchen!!! How did you hear about this Steve? Have you seen it? If your are needing the compact Apache model camper I would jump on this trailer that is very rare. ;D :D ;)

No slide-out, Hector.

I've corresponded with Jack for a few years since he was in the fairly immediate area of my family and was an Apache owner.

I thought all Yuma's had a slide out. Well at least I know now that not all models had that option. ;)

You've got that right, Hector.  I'd give up the shower for the slide out!

Hey buddy I wasn't meaning giving one up for the other!!! I love both those items but I think your shower might be a better thing than the slid out because I always use the portable cooking stove anyways. 8) ;)

And I don't.

Thus far I've had no real reason to have the shower there.  I suppose if I was dry camping, that'd be different.  Or at Sequioa RV Park where they charge you to take a shower on the property after you've already paid them for a site.... sheesh. >:(

I think I have gotten to know you a little Steve, and I know that when you set up Roamie at a remote campsite with a restored shower in place you are going to smile at how good life is! :D You don't need it now at the places you have been so far but these campers can go to all those places you like to hike and stay for free as well and you will have all th great comforts of the design that makes Roamie so great. Hang in there buddy restoration takes a little time but when its done you will be kicking it boss~!! ;D :D ;)
