12 Volt Car Jacks
« on: July 30, 2009, 04:41:16 PM »
I think I have found a good idea ! Roadmaster and many other companies make a 2000 lb motorized scissor jack. The footing on these things are much better than any other jack I have seen.

Since many members on here are somewhat decent with wires on Apache campers, it should not be hard to wire all 4 of these to one location and maybe even use a controller with 4 switches.

These seem to cost about the same price as a manual jack for a camper too.

I have one of these and use it for quick levelling side to side. Just lift up the low side , place boards under tire and then remove jack.

Has anyone researched where to purchase something like this for the best price including shipping. I want one for myself...one for each of my parents...

Seems like a great gift idea. No one likes jacking up a car...especially with a stock jack.

They are hard to find. They also have plastic gearing so they do not last very long and can break with a heavy load such as ohhh, I don't know, a ummm CAR ??? LOL  ;D

cordless drill and 4 scissor jacks are a lot cheaper...and faster... ;)
