One thing that sucks about this place is they charge 5 bucks per dog on top of the site fee.

That's virginia state parks for ya. We have two dogs! But I'm willing to pay for the dogs so that I can have an adult beverage (or three or four) in front of the camp fire.

I've been a couple times and they never charged us for the dogs. But we have had to pay it once or twice. No big deal for one or two nights but for those 4 night stays it starts to sting a little. Especially when we had two dogs.

Looks like there is several loops. The C Loop (Blue sites) may be the best bet. It's a non-site specific reservation so just like Smith Mountain Lake Round Up we'll try to get them to group us together.

Looks good to me.  I like rule #1 under regulations in all caps.  I know the last round up was in NC but dont forget about Kerr lake NC state park.

Adam, what's rule #1? I can't see what you're talking about.

Ohhhhh...."Alcohol Prohibited"

Ron and I had a conversation the other night about having the round up at another campground close to Occeeneechee SP.
One with more sites and has a loop of sites that would be better suited for a round up.

It would be at the North Bend Park, Army Corps of Engineers campground.
The Corps of Engineers don't have great information on their website. I have stay at one like it and that one was nice. They are similar to state park facilities but with more utilitarian showerhouses. Simpler but clean.

Anyone have any objections to moving the round up to North Bend?
I know we all are really anxious to start making reservations.

North Bend works for us.  Think I should try to get a non-water front site since it will be cold?

Not to be a debbie downer but there are only 16 sites left to reserve in sites 78-103.  If some of the reserved sites are people from here then we are good otherwise we may have a problem.
