I noticed my tires on my 65 Eagle were cupping and wearing out faster than they used to. After a "G" search, a site suggested that the cupping can be caused by worn out suspension parts. My Harris bushings (spring) were unbelievably worn. There are NO direct replacement bushings that I could find. Some were close but trying to adapt an expensive bushing and need 12 of them would be a night mare. I found someone making poured urethane engine mounts on Utube. I contacted a place and got a kit. Made up 8 forms After I poured and hardened them, I slowly drilled them. You could put a 1/2" rod form instead of drilling but it is a royal pain "tried it". They turned out better than I hoped for. I have made 12 so far and used a little over 1/4 of the kit.
The urethane kit: Smooth-on PMC-790 $35kit + $15 for the release spray. $50total For another $18 you could get UV stabilized carbon black to color it. As 90+% is covered by metal I didn't think it was needed. This is very stiff for urethane, but still slightly softer than my old rubber bushings. Probably what they were like before they dried out for 50 years .
