Funny you should mention that you had not seen other Apaches in your travels. Last year was in Northern NH on Maine border; set up camper and headed south about an hour for dinner near Sunday River Maine. In parking lot of restaurant was old an VW camper with very old pop up in tow. We thought it may be early Apache pop up. Did not see owner around. All through dinner we looked out window to see if owner came back. Never did. After camping several days broke camp and went down to our ski club in North Conway, NH. The next day I heard the familar rumble of a VW outside. Low and behold the owners of the VW camper (without the pop up attached)were on our small, out of the way, country side street admiring our Ramada. I tried to get outside to talk with them, but they drove off before I could get outside. The odds of us admiring their pop up one day in Maine, then they ours several days and 60 miles apart still amazes me.
