I am going to order a new bed end cap but I don't know if it is considered a left or a right. It goes on the corner at the hitch end, on the drivers side.

It could be left OR right, depending on where I am standing at the time.

Please help so I don't order the wrong things.

thanks.

I think you need the Left hand one but if it was me I would order one of each, I think there is a price saving that way (my scottish ancestory again, tight with the money)
No Wait! You have to order all 4 to save the moolah.
2-left and 2-right.
$37.50 for 4 or $12.00 for one (Apache Sales Corp)

Gosh, I hate to disagree with Trailman but I think you may need the right one!

Here is a pic of the end cap I am replacing. It is the same as the right one in crouch campers' picture.

Now, dilemma #2 - Is that label universal, or for their purposes only?  :?
Who would have thought this could get so complicated?  8O  :D

I was going to order from Apache Sales, but since that is not their picture, I am still worried about ordering the wrong one. So, I have emailed crouch campers for a price. If it is the same, or very close, I will order from them.

I don't want to order one of each because, with my luck, I will never need the other one. Or, it would get broken before I needed it. I would like to replace them all since the color difference is going to drive me nuts...

but... dilemma #3 -  I am afraid of rivets. Yep, you read that right. I have never used one and they scare me. I am afraid I will break something trying to drill the old ones out or putting new ones in. I am worried that I will use the wrong size and ruin everything.
I have tried, but just can't get an understanding of how or why they work.
I am going to go for it on the broken bed end because I have no choice. However, I don't want to start messing with the ones that are perfectly fine and mess things up.

Hmm, I see what you mean. When I have questions I call Debbie at Apache Sales Corp and let her educate me. She's very helpful.
Good luck,
Mike

LOL  :D  I know I will have to sooner or later since my Apache seems to be held together with them.

Got email from crouch campers and they sell bed end caps for $20 each. I will be calling Debbie. I didn't want to put her on the spot by not knowing my left from right. I really could order one of each from her for almost the price of one at crouch campers!

As long as you both agree on how you're visualizing the trailer you'll figure out the L & R part :). FYI, I think the last set of corners I got from her were a grey plastic.
Good luck,
Mike

Good point Fitzfolly!
Mine were dark grey plastic too, luckily i got all 4.
The ones that were not broken on my apache were weather beaten and brittle and the same color as the one in roberta's photo.
One new one would have looked out of place unless you are planning on painting them.

I don't know how Crouch campers parts system works but i do know Apache sales Corps parts list uses the original Vesely part numbers and diagrams for right and left parts.

As Mike said "Make friends with rivets."  I felt the same way as you before I had to take the rivets out of the bed end windows in my previous Apache.  Luckily, I have a dad who is very mechanical and he showed me what to do.  Drilling them out is the hardest part only because it takes some elbow grease.  Some of those little boogers can be tough to drill through! :x  Putting the new rivets in can be tricky at first.  Try practicing somewhere where it won't hurt anything.  My dad can do it with one pull on the tool, but I have to do it with 2 or 3 pulls.  Make sure you stay up close to the surface you're riveting with the tool.  It's a little startling at first when it pops and breaks off, but you get used to it and even start to enjoy it. :)  Good luck!
