Living Hinge Retainers
« on: November 18, 2003, 12:37:58 PM »
And for those of you doing a living hinge replacement, here are the retainer pieces that go on the bed ends. See the photo below. On 1971 thru 1973 there are (4) retainers at each bed end. On 1974 on there are only (2) retainers required. These retainers are very important as they keep the bed end from sliding side ways and damaging your abs walls. Apache Sales corp. and Apache Trailer Experts in Canada do not have these as they are out of stock and no longer made. I have them and you can get them at

How much are the retainers for a set of 4?

How much for a set of 8?

Interesting...

It shows the telecovers, but not the corner covers we've discussed in another thread.

Al,
Does this diagram match up with what your 1972 Yuma looks like?

Pretty much.  It shows 1 slider; I actually have three on each side.  Other than that, it seems to match.

The thing I'm not 100% sure of is the retainers - mine is folded down right now, so I can't chack.

are you talking about the sliding locks that holds the side panel in place??

My 72 mesa had 3 of them.  on each panel.. to on the window end and one on the top piece.

if they were hard side I would venture a guess of YES...

I would think the earlier ones all do..until they changed to the sliding panel.
