Do 71 Mesa's even have Living Hinge?
« on: January 24, 2010, 04:29:04 PM »
I have a 1971 Mesa and the bed-end panels are connected to the edge of the bed by an aluminum sleeve. The sleeve is shaped like an "M"....the abs side panel slides in one channel and the bedframe slides into the other with a metal stop in the end of each to keep it from sliding out.  I'm just wondering if I am supposed to have living hinge here, it seems to work just fine as it is. I'm thinking the 71 models were made this way but I'd like to know for sure.
If anyone knows if the 71's had Living Hinge, I sure would appreciate knowing.
I have been looking for an Apache for about 4 years and I finally found one here in Texas. I will have pictures of my progress at some point.
Thanks for your help.
