What is the spacing in between the curtain tabs when making curtains?

(1/2) > >>

jimmy2time:
My 76 Royal did not come with any curtains, just remnants of the old tabs left on the bed ends.  I'm ready to start sewing up some new ones tonight.
What is the spacing in between each of the Curtain Tabs when making new curtains?  I think I read somewhere that it was 4 inches.

Also, is there a tutorial or guide or general suggestions when making curtains?

Are there any Rookie Mistakes that I should be aware of and avoid when making curtains?

Redwood:
Which curtains are you asking about the window curtains or the privacy curtains that cover the beds?  If it's privacy curtains I believe my wife had about four inches also. It just gives you the gather that you want bigger or smaller I think it's up to you what you want it to look like.

The window curtains we used snap tape and carriers, the snap tape is sewn on the curtains and the carriers go in the tracks. Good luck

Since I'm the unfortunate soul that has to sew the curtains, I wish I knew about the snap tape with carriers.  That looks really simple.  I would hope that these are available at an RV Parts store?

The PO left me with the sew in tabs http://www.apachecampertrailers.com/assets/CurtainTab.jpg and I salvaged a few of the old plastic tabs from the bed end rails.  I guess I'll have to pin these in and then sew through them.

Redwood:
You can order the snap tape and carriers at almost any RV store on-line. I ordered mine at Camping World on-line no problem. A lot easier to sew on.  Greg

I'm ordering some things off Amazon and came across the snap tape and carriers:

My wife is going todo the sewing for the curtains, but saw this video and seems easy enough😀😀
