Make-Over
« on: August 09, 2016, 03:14:22 pm »
I thought it was time for a make over. I hope no one asks me how I changed my avatar because I don't know if I could remember how I did it! I almost gave up.

I like it! I don't know how to get a picture to post because it say that the picture is too large! I know the avatar has to be just right. You are a master at it now.

Roger,  Cool.

I never connected Huckleberry Hound to the real  huckleberries until now.  Thanks for making my world a little smaller.

The state fruit of Idaho, I found out.

My favorite would be Foghorn Leghorn.  "I say that boy is sharp as a bowling ball."

But,  my ultimate favorite is, " The boy is busier than a centipede at a toe counting contest. "

Maybe it's the southern thing.

I really like your choice.  Whats not to like in a hound dog.

Please keep in touch.

Trying to use time wisely.  Memories in the making.  No agenda.

Maybe someone else can try this and be successful and come up with a better write up.

This is what I did to change my avatar.

Have a picture saved somewhere so you know where it is, desktop, documents or some folder.

Go to Flicker.com, you'll probably have to register or create an account, not sure, but I did.

Flicker to me is kind of confusing but everything new is. It looks like a good site to organize photo's and share.

You might have to play around a bit as I was in a hurry when I did this and just managed to hit the right buttons.

I believe I clicked on or used camera roll first.

In the upper right corner in the black border is an icon of a funny looking cloud that has a triangle, that is the upload icon.

That is self explanatory after you click on it.

This is where I'm a little foggy, after the photo is uploaded:

After it is uploaded,

Click on the photo and "save as" (remember where it is saved to)

Log onto the apache web site> profile>forum profile.

And I "THINK" I chose specify avatar by url.

It might have been Upload an avatar. Pretty sure it was the first one though.

After you click on browse and the information is in the browse box for your photo hit enter on the keyboard.

It worked for me and I didn't have to resize it or anything, one of those computer mysteries.

( I'm not responsible for anything thrown through your monitor while trying to attempt this)

Roger

I noticed my avatar had disappeared. It took me a few tries to get it back. Sure happy the Apache's are still alive and camping. There are still many people that thinks the APACHE campers are the tops.  I really do miss mine but just not able to put it up and take it down like I did 16 years ago. There are a lot of  :) GOOD MEMORIES CAMPING with our  APACHE RANGER. Wishing all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR making new camping memories.
