2018

Well,  a few plans have been made but no reservations.

Cynde looked at me when I asked of the run this year and she had this blank stare.  She said, is there anyway we can stay a days drive from home with my parents age and health?

What was I hearing?   You still want to travel 3 weeks and only stay an day from home?  She replied yes, if that is possible.

The run.

Louisville to Nashville to pick up the Natchez Trace to Natchez MS.

Turn south thru New Orleans to the end of the bayou to pick up the Great River Road, north.

10 states, mostly backroads.  Terminus, Lake Itasca MN.

It's the 80 anniversary.  I went to the website and requested info.  I'm getting a packet a day from the states.  So far I have MS. AR, and IA arrived today.  Cyndes perfect scrapbook fodder and a ton of reading material for me.  This is fun.  An unsung gem.  Better than most AAA or guidebook, and dated for this year.

I think I did my best.  Louisville to New Orleans 12hr.  Lake Itasca to Louisville 16.

I'm planning my stops on festivals and food.

Make those plans and go.

Hello strangers, This is from Debbie in Napa, Runningbird. Here to tell you I am so envious  of the camping and traveling. And  the only traveling we have been doing is Evacuation due to Fire Again. 2 time in 9 months. This sucks. But I do thank the all mighty we haven't lost anything but sleep  yet.  Had a Shariff at our door at 1 am to tell  us of the advisable evacuation pending. So be ready if he returns with lights and sirens. Well god bless to everyone and enjoy camping for me too. Debbie in Napa
