'74 Apache Mesa Renovation (New Paint and ABS)
« on: May 10, 2018, 09:23:37 AM »
Hello everyone,

I was lucky enough to stumble across this beautiful 1974 Apache Mesa camper in my area for sale. It is a fixer upper but I am enjoying the renovation even more than the camping. I stripped down the frame and recoated it with rust preventive enamel and I am working on restoring the side and front panels to their original condition with a slight modern twist suggested by my 4 year old (who loves fire trucks).

I hope you enjoy it. I will post pictures as I go.

Thank you.

unless that side panel has been replaced, it is newer than you think... it is 1979 or newer. they didn't paint them tan until then.

A cargo door means 75 or newer model.  Also the sink moves to the right of the stove for 75 and newer.

Thank you. I was wondering that. I didn't see any that color in the '74. I almost restored it to the '74 lime green. The sink has been removed so I am not sure about that. I need to find the water connections and see if I can get something set back up. It isn't something I need but it might help resale. Do you all have any recommendations for must do improvements? I am running out of renovations.

Thank you.

Is it a 1979/80? That seems to be the only ones I see in brown without the mountain stripe.
